Mister Maker & The Shapes Live Review

We were kindly invited back to the Orchard Theatre in Dartford to review Mister Maker & The Shapes Live.

There were just two shows available in Dartford, but the show is now touring the rest of the UK.

Little Man was very excited again. He loves watching CBeebies and we always get some great ideas how to make some wonderful creations at home! Hubby also came along with us too.

I was very impressed by the huge screen in the middle of the stage. This was great for special effects and for capturing close ups so that audience members who were sat further away could see.

The first half saw Mr Maker joined by 4 of his ‘crafty’ friends who helped him make and some wonderful creations whilst singing and dancing.
The second half, in my opinion was so much better. The shapes were introduced on stage and my little boy danced along with them in the aisle.

I think they tried to cater the show for everybody and the first half is much more suited for slightly older children. There was quite a lot of talking with volunteers being brought up on stage, including some of the parents so make sure you bring plenty of snacks to occupy those who are unlikely to keep still!

The creations that were made were really impressive but also easy to do and you can download how to make them yourself via their website.
The show was funny, entertaining and by the end we were all up on our feet dancing.
I would highly recommend the show to any Mr Maker fan!
